Gemma Bond MSc., BCBA
I started working with children with Autism and related conditions whilst in comprehensive school. I was one of four to first volunteer my lunch time to help with the newly developed Special Teaching Facility, my passion grew from there. I started my joint honours degree in Sociology and Psychology in 2005 and then began working as a tutor on a home programme in 2007. In 2015 I graduated with my MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis and Therapy. I have supervised home Verbal behaviour/Behaviour Analysis programmes for over 4 years to gain the experience to consult to families. I have extensive experience and a strong interest in Speech and communication which was demonstrated in my MSc thesis topic; Comparing social and Tangible Reinforcers During Stimulus-Stimulus Pairing, which involved pairing sounds with preferred activities in an attempt to increase vocalisations in a child with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis. This has motivated me to pursue more knowledge in this area and I plan to start a MSc in Speech difficulties soon.
I am based in the East Midlands area and can travel when needed. I also provide consultations around South Wales, Bristol, Birmingham and London.
